The XPS-6201 hardened power supply is intended for outdoor deployment in conjunction with Trapeze Networks outdoor access points, the MP-620 or MP-620A. Designed for extremely harsh environments, including sub-zero temperatures, high humidity, dust, salt and fog, these power supplies are recommended for high availability outdoor wireless LAN applications such as wireless mesh services, point, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint bridging where the cost of downtime has severe penalties.
In addition, thanks to superior MTBF ratings this hardened power supply is especially recommended in all applications where servicing the access point or power supply is difficult or requires specialized equipment.
