Sonnet designed the Echo Express III-D and III-R Thunderbolt to PCIe card expansion systems to be easily moved from Thunderbolt 1 to Thunderbolt 2, from Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 and vise versa. Simply swap the existing Thunderbolt interface board with the replacement board, and then your chassis will instantly operate with the new interface.
