Home Storage Center including Logitech Squeezebox server, Apple Time Machine support, Printer Server and Twonky Media Server
With the Home Storage Center, you can easily save digital photographs, music and films in a central location on a network and share them with other users at home. This total solution has two drive bays for two hard disks. Use a second hard disk for extra storage or to automatically save a copy of the files stored on the first hard disk for maximum security.
The Home Storage Center is the safest place for your valuable digital files. It automatically creates a copy of the files that are saved in the PCs on the network, to protect the most recent versions of your files. By pressing the smart backup button, data from a connected hard drive is saved to the Home Storage Center without the need for complicated software.
The MD-254 offers the possibility for package management which enables you to use the following additional functions:
- Logitech Squeezebox server: play music stored on the Home Storage Center on the Logitech Squeezebox.
- Apple Time Machine support: make a backup of the files that are stored on your Mac.
- Printer Server: connect a printer via the USB port and share these with all the users at home.
- Twonky Media Server: DLNA server to create a connection with other DLNA devices on the network.
- Package management makes the Home Storage Center easier to expand with new functions in the future.
Thanks to the user-friendly installation programs for Windows and Mac, the Home Storage Center is installed and organised with a few clicks of a mouse. Create public accounts or personal accounts which can be accessed with a user name and a password to protect private files.

With the Media Control App on your iPhone or Android you can easily manage your digital films, photos and music via devices compatible with DLNA (UPnP) that are connected to your wireless home network. With the Media Control App you can search for media on all DLNA (UPnP) servers, such as the MD-254 Home Storage Center, and play them on an iPhone, an iPod or a player compatible with DLNA (UPnP), such as the Sitecom MD-272/MD-273 TV Media Player.
