Intelligent network integration of CNC standard machines
Standard machine manufacturers face the challenge to build many very similar machines for different customers and have to modify them customer-specific. In order to access a specific machine, a time-consuming and error-prone adjustment of the network configuration either at the PC or the machine was necessary up to now.
INSYS icom provides now a LAN-to-LAN router with the RSM-E100 that acts as intelligent middleman between company, system and service networks.
In particular machines using a Siemens SINUMERIK 840D sl can be accessed and configures in a few steps only with the standard IP settings of the control from a company network. Each machine will be assigned a unique identifier upon an easy one-time configuration of the router (DHCP, DNS) here that can also be predetermined by the customer already. A configuration of the other system components, also at the final site of opera-tion, is not necessary.
