The DataPort DP27 removable drive is a rugged, high-capacity data security solution that replaces a DVD player in laptops, desktops, and workstations. The DP27 consists of an internal frame and drive carrier: the frame mounts in 9.5mm slimline optical bays and the drive carrier houses any capacity 2.5-inch 7mm SATA SSD or hard drive.
The DP27 is available with either a push-button or locking release for the drive carrier.
The frame mounts meet standard SFF-8552 (rev 1.4) specifications for 9.5mm slimline optical drives.
A fully enclosed metal hard-drive carrier provides rugged protection. These enclosures are designed for heavy use–up to 50,000 drive insertions.
The high-speed DP27 operates at speeds up to 6 Gbps (when used with 6 Gbps hard drives and host controllers).
