What is Mobile DTV (MDTV)?
MDTV is a new TV broadcast standard optimized for portable recption. With an MDTV receiver from Coby, consumers can watch live TV programs such as news, traffic info, weather, sports, and entertainment -whenever and wherever they want. Best of all, no subscription fees are required to enjoy MDTV. By the end of 2010, studies have predicted a mobile broadcast market of up to 100+ million end users worldwide.
What’s the difference between MDTV and DTV?
Regular DTV broadcasts are designed for stationary reception, and cannot support mobile reception. MDTV allows for clear, consistent, high-quality TV reception at speeds of 100+ mph, enabling consumers to watch TV in their cars, on the train, or at a park. However, Coby MDTV receivers cannot currently receive regular DTV broadcasts.
