Professional White Inkjet CD-R
ACU-DISC uses a unique resilient printable inkjet surface, with a brilliant white formula, to create exceptional print results across a wide range of CD printers.
Not only is the aesthetic exceptional, but the ACU-DISC uses high-quality dyes with optical grade poly-carbonate. Combined these provide excellent burning, low error rates and fantastic playback performance.
Professional moulding quality and A-Grade scanning lines ensure that ACU-DISC provide superb loading compatibility and are suitable for professional use.
CD-R Technology
CD-R utilises WORM technology (Write Once Read Many) and is rather uniquely placed in data storage because of this.
In a CD-R the recording layer is made with organic dyes — greenish cyanine dye, golden phthalocyanine dye, or silver-blue azo dye.
The ACU-DISC uses an advanced phthalocyanine dye, superior to the Cyanine dye (and other phthalocyanine dyes) for two reasons:
Stability - 100 Year data integrity, compared to ~20 for cyanine.
Speed - Phthalocyanine is optimised for high-speed writers.
